On Legacy, Buhari Says ‘I Hope Nigerians Will be Fair to Me’

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he will allow Nigerians to decide his legacy, adding that he hopes Nigerians would be fair to him.

Responding to a question during an exclusive interview on the Morning Show on ARISE TV, the broadcast arm of THISDAY, Thursday, Buhari said he would allow Nigerians to decide his legacy.

He cited security as one of the indices which Nigerians should use to appraise his stewardship. He said Nigerians knew what the security situation, particularly in the Northeast, when he took over and the current situation.

“I hope they will be fair to me. I will not decide it myself,” he said.
